Sorokin will start vs. San Jose on Tuesday.

The Islanders are off to a 2-3-0 start to the 2025-26 season and have relied heavily on Ilya Sorokin, but he has not been able to consistently deliver when called upon. The 30-year-old Sorokin has an alarming 4.13 GAA and .861 SV% in four games this season (1-3-0). Sorokin and the Islanders hope to rebound on Tuesday when they face-off against the San Jose Sharks, the only team in the NHL yet to record a victory (0-3-2).

The 32-year-old Lyon has played all five games for the Sabres this season, keeping them within reach during each contest, posting a solid 2.43 GAA, .928 SV%, and one shutout. The Sabres have won two straight and enter the action on Monday as +129 road underdogs against a Montreal Canadiens team off to a 4-2-0 start to the season.

After a hot offensive start to the 2025-26 season, outscoring their opposition 13-7 in their first three games (2-1-0), Minnesota has lost three straight (0-2-1), outscored 12-4. Gustavsson started the season with an impressive 26-save shutout in a 5-0 win over the St. Louis Blues, but has lost three games since. He has a 3.56 GAA and .88 SV% in four games (1-3-0) and hopes to rebound on Monday against the New York Rangers. Minnesota enters Monday's contest as +123 road underdogs against New York.

McCann (lower-body) will miss Monday's game vs. Philadelphia and is considered day-to-day.

McCann didn't seem to be affected by a lower-body injury in Saturday's 4-3 win over the Toronto Maple Leafs, playing 17:08 time-on-ice, but will be sidelined day-to-day, starting with Monday's contest against the Philadelphia Flyers. The 29-year-old McCann has four points (3G / 1A) in five games this season.

Labate is a 32-year-old forward that was drafted by the Canucks in the fourth round of the 2011 NHL Entry Draft. He has spent most of his career in the AHL, limited to only 19 career games. He scored 21 points (8G / 13A) in 51 contests with the Cleveland Monsters (AHL) last season.

Chytil exited Sunday's game against the Washington Capitals in the first period after received an unsuspecting hit from Tom Wilson. The 26-year-old Chytil has battled issues with concussions throughout his career, so there is justifiable concern with the severity of Chytil's injury. Tom Wilson was not penalized on the play.

Dobes will start vs. Buffalo on Monday.

Dobes has been excellent in limited action this season, and will return to the crease on Monday against the Buffalo Sabres. The 24-year-old Czech goalie has a stellar 1.46 GAA and .940 SV% in two games this season (2-0-0). Montreal enters Monday's matchup as -145 home favorites against a suddenly explosive Buffalo team that is outscoring their opposition 11-4 during a two-game winning streak. The Canadiens have an upcoming back-to-back on Wednesday and Thursday this week, so Dobes will likely be between the pipes for a second time this week as well.

The Rangers have had an up-and-down start to the 2025-26 season, shut out in three of seven games (3-3-1), but have received near-perfection from goaltender Igor Shesterkin. After an uncharacteristically poor 2024-25 season by his standards, the 29-year-old Shesterkin has rebounded early in 2025-26, showcasing an outstanding 1.00 GAA and .962 SV% in five games (2-2-1). As they enter Monday's contest, the Rangers are -136 home favorites against a Minnesota Wild team that has been outscored 12-4 during a three-game losing skid (0-2-1).

Rodrigo Abols and Nicolas Deslauriers will be healthy scratches on Monday against the Seattle Kraken, allowing Nikita Grebenkin and Jett Luchanko to re-enter the lineup. The 19-year-old Luchanko, the Flyers' 13th-overall pick in the 2024 NHL Entry Draft, has played three games this season and continues searching for his first career point.

Rodrigo Abols and Nicolas Deslauriers will be healthy scratches on Monday against the Seattle Kraken, allowing Nikita Grebenkin and Jett Luchanko to re-enter the lineup. The 29-year-old Abols is averaging 7:29 time-on-ice and has zero points through two games this season.

That said, in five previous NHL seasons, Vladar has had a save percentage above .900 only once. The Flyers enter Monday's contest as +114 road underdogs against a Seattle Kraken team that has yet to lose in regulation this season (3-0-2).
