Gostisbehere left the Hurricane's morning skate wincing in pain and is now considered a game-time decision ahead of Game 5 due to an undisclosed injury. The 30-year-old was acquired at the trade deadline from Arizona and has yet to pick up a point while having five SOG and a -3 plus/minus through the first four games of the series.

Stepan was a healthy scratch for Game 4 but will draw into the lineup for Game 5 as he replaces Jack Drury (injury) in the Hurricane's lineup. The 32-year-old brings 112 career playoff games of experience to Carolina's roster, with 20 goals and 54 points across that span.

Andersen has not dressed for the Hurricanes' previous three games due to an undisclosed injury but is expected to dress for Game 5 Tuesday. The 33-year-old has 27 career NHL playoff wins but will head into a backup role as Antti Raanta has led Carolina to a 3-1 series lead.


Andersen will miss a second-straight playoff game as he is out due to illness and will not dress for Game 3 vs. the New York Islanders. The 33-year-old is coming off an average regular season, where he went 21-11-1 with a 2.48 GAA and .903 SV%. Pyotr Kotchetkov will replace him as Carolina's backup Friday.


Kochetkov had a 12-7-5 record, 2.44 GAA and .909 SV% with the Hurricanes' during the regular season and has been recalled from Charlotte (AHL) Monday to be Carolina's third goaltender. The 23-year-old saw four games worth of action with the Hurricanes' in last year's playoffs, with a 1-2-0 record, 3.89 GAA and .869 SV%.

The 33-year-old veteran has had a down year by his previous standards, with his 20-11-1 record, 2.43 GAA and .904 SV%. He takes on the Florida Panthers, who just had a six-game winning streak snapped with a 2-1 overtime loss to Toronto last game.

Robinson left the Blue Jackets' previous game after just 10:56 TOi due to an upper-body injury and is not expected to play Tuesday vs. Philadelphia. The 27-year-old has 12 goals, 12 assists, 98 SOG, six PIMs and a +6 plus/minus through 72 games prior to the injury.
