Cale Makar will not play tonight vs. Vancouver but is a game-time decision Saturday vs. Seattle (undisclosed).

Makar missed the Avalanche's previous contest and is fifth among all defensemen in points (43) and second in goals (13) but will miss Friday's game vs. Vancouver as well due to an undisclosed injury. The 2022 Norris Trophy winner is considered day-to-day as we wait for more of an update on his ailment.

Blackwood allowed two goals on 37 shots (.946 SV%) as he snapped a two-game losing streak with a win over Los Angeles in his previous start. The 26-year-old has continued to struggle for a second-straight season, with his 6-3-1 record, 2.95 GAA and .895 SV%. He will face the Seattle Kraken, who are on a two-game losing streak after a 5-2 loss to Edmonton, which came after an eight-game winning streak.

Francouz was perfect, stopping all 29 shots for his first shutout of the season as he won his third start in four tries with a victory over Ottawa last game. The 32-year-old backup started the year slow but has been sensational as of late, with his 5-6-0 record, 2.57 GAA and .919 SV%. He faces the Detroit Red Wings for an afternoon showdown Monday, who lost their last game 4-3 to Columbus and are 20th in the NHL in goals per game (3.1).

Pavel Francouz
Chris Wagner has been reassigned to Providence (AHL).

Wagner played 12:36 TOI and failed to pick up a point in his one-game showing with the Bruins but will head back to Providence (AHL) Wednesday. The 31-year-old veteran will head back to Providence, where he had nine goals, 11 points, 37 PIMs and a -2 plus/minus through 27 games prior to his call-up.
