


Barkov left Wednesday’s game against the Maple Leafs with an undisclosed injury and missed Thursday’s contest vs. the Canadiens. The Panthers have moved him to IR and head coach Tom Rowe said that Barkov is expected to miss 2-3 weeks.

He has been ridiculous all season, only losing five of his 29 games in regulation and comes into tonight with a 9-2-2 with a 1.87 GAA and .931 SV% on the road this season.

Panthers’ head coach Tom Rowe did not have an update on Barkov postgame, but he is considered questionable for Thursday’s game vs. the Canadiens. Goalie Bob has been sensational this season and currently ranks first in the NHL in wins (17), tied for fifth in SV% (.934) and sixth in GAA (1.94). Tonight he will face a Flames team that has won six of their last seven while averaging 3.86 goals for and 2.14 goals against per game.

Berube has sat as the Islanders’ third goalie all season, only appearing in one game, stopping the only shot that he has faced. Berube has gone 3-2-1 with a 2.71 with a .914 SV% in six career starts. Tonight he will take on the Sabres, who have gone 4-2-1 while averaging 3.29 goals per game since Jack Eichel returned to the lineup.
