The National Hockey League’s 32 franchises unveiled their respective nominees Wednesday for the Bill Masterton Memorial Trophy, presented each season to the player who best exemplifies perseverance, sportsmanship, and dedication to hockey.



Among the 32 finalists includes the NHL’s all-time leading goal scorer Alex Ovechkin of the <a href="https://www.dailyfaceoff.com/teams/washington-capitals/line-combinations">Washington Capitals</a>, <a href="https://www.dailyfaceoff.com/teams/los-angeles-kings/line-combinations">Los Angeles Kings</a> defenseman Drew Doughty who missed 47 games this season due to an ankle fracture, and <a href="https://www.dailyfaceoff.com/teams/minnesota-wild/line-combinations">Minnesota Wild</a> veteran goaltender and three-time Stanley Cup champion Marc-Andre Fleury who will call it a career at the conclusion of the 2024-25 campaign.

The Bill Masterton Memorial Trophy was first presented in 1967.
