Dansk, 30, was originally a 2012 second-round pick, 31st overall of the Columbus Blue Jackets. He spent the past two seasons with the American Hockey League’s Calgary Wranglers. Dansk posted a 11-12-3 record last year with the Wranglers, registering a 3.22 GAA and .897 Sv.%. Along with his contributions on the ice, Dansk does it all off the ice, as he was named the club’s recipient of the AHL Man of the Year Award in both of the last two seasons for his fantastic contributions to the Calgary community.

The Stockholm, Sweden native has dressed in six career NHL games with the Vegas Golden Knights, going 4-1-0 with a 3.10 GAA and .906 Sv.%. He’s certainly more seasoned at the AHL level, collecting a 90-52-28 career record, including seven shutouts and a 2.79 GAA throughout his 171 appearances. The proud Swede has represented his country at two international competitions, including the 2012 U-18 World Championships, along with the 2013 and 2014 World Junior Championships.

Dansk’s experience also includes 22 career Calder Cup Playoff games, including as a member of the Chicago Wolves in 2019, helping the Wolves reach the Calder Cup Finals. He’s also enjoyed stops with the Springfield Falcons, Henderson Silver Knights, and spent the 2020-21 season with the KHL’s Moscow Spartak.

Look for Dansk to start next season with the Ducks’ AHL affiliate San Diego Gulls. Anaheim already has John Gibson and Lukas Dostal solidified as the one-two punch in their crease. GM Pat Verbeek has all 23 NHL roster slots accounted for and over $21 million in cap space available heading into ’24-25. Anaheim finished last season ranked 30th in the league, allowing 3.57 goals per game.
