<p>The <a href="https://www.dailyfaceoff.com/teams/boston-bruins/line-combinations">Boston Bruins </a>have signed defenseman Jordan Harris to a one-year contract with a cap hit of $825,000.</p>

<p>Harris spent the 2024-25 season with the <a href="https://www.dailyfaceoff.com/teams/columbus-blue-jackets/line-combinations">Columbus Blue Jackets</a>, scoring a goal and four assists for five points and averaging 11:23 of ice time per game in 33 games. </p>



<p>In four NHL seasons, the 24-year-old Harris has nine goals and 28 assists for 37 points, averaging 16:39 of ice time in 164 career regular-season games. <a href="https://www.dailyfaceoff.com/news/canadiens-acquire-patrik-laine-2026-second-round-pick-from-blue-jackets-for-jordan-harris">He was acquired by Blue Jackets in the Patrik Laine trade </a>with the <a href="https://www.dailyfaceoff.com/teams/montreal-canadiens/line-combinations">Montreal Canadiens</a> in August 2024. </p>



<p>Harris, a native of Haverhill, Mass., was taken in the third round by the Canadiens in the 2018 NHL Entry Draft. He spent four seasons playing college hockey in the NCAA with Northeastern University, scoring 15 goals and 58 assists for 73 points in 130 career games. </p><div class="injected-ad injected-video" data-nn-ad-tech-injection-count="0" data-nn-ad-tech-max-gap="130" data-nn-ad-tech-current-gap="165"></div>



<p>The Bruins went 33-39-10 with 76 points in 2024-25, finishing last in the Atlantic Division and second last in the Eastern Conference. David Pastrnak led Boston in all offensive categories with 43 goals and 63 assists for 106 points.</p>



<p>Boston has been busy today, signing<a href="https://www.dailyfaceoff.com/news/bruins-sign-sean-kuraly-michael-eyssimont-to-two-year-deals-lightning-blue-jackets-blumel"> Sean Kuraly, Michael Eyssimont</a> and Matej Blumel, as well.</p>



<p>Last week, the Bruins selected <a href="https://www.dailyfaceoff.com/news/boston-bruins-james-hagens-no-7-overall-2025-nhl-draft">James Hagens No. 7 overall in the 2025 NHL Entry Draft</a>. In 2024-25, Hagens scored 11 goals and 26 assists for 37 points in 37 games as a freshman with Boston College in the NCAA. Before that, the Hauppauge, N.Y., native had spent two seasons with the U.S. National Development Team in the USHL, scoring 35 goals and 52 assists for 87 points in 57 games. </p>
