<p>The hockey world may bear witness to one of the greatest hockey games ever played on Thursday night. After <a href="https://www.dailyfaceoff.com/teams/team-canada/line-combinations" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Canada</a> and the <a href="https://www.dailyfaceoff.com/teams/team-united-states/line-combinations" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">United States</a> played an intense game that lived up to the hype during their 4 Nations Face-Off round robin matchup on Saturday, both teams have now clinched a spot in the championship game to close out the tournament.</p>



<p>Political circumstances outside of the hockey bubble has certainly blown up the attention to this historic rivalry, but it’s more than just booing anthems and threatens of annexation. The biggest reason this game will get incredible amounts of anticipation built up over the next three days is due to the level that both teams are playing at. Canada has always been the pinnacle of hockey nations, but the United States finally have the skill, talent and depth to match them, and that was on full display when they beat Canada 3-1 on Saturday.</p><div class="injected-ad injected-video" data-nn-ad-tech-injection-count="0" data-nn-ad-tech-max-gap="130" data-nn-ad-tech-current-gap="153"></div>



<p>Frank Seravalli talked about Thursday’s championship game between Canada and the United States and how much attention it will likely garner on Daily Faceoff Live.</p>



<p><strong>Frank Seravalli: </strong>You just said to me while we were talking about the coverage related to this game. Everyone, people that don’t watch or talk about hockey [are talking about it]. The White House tweeted about this game. Pardon My Take opens their show talking about hockey. People that I’m friends with that don’t like hockey are talking to me about this game.</p>



<p>Now you’re gonna take it, you change countries, everything about the environment and atmosphere flips, and you put it in Boston where fans are loud and, at times, pretty angry, and you have these two rivals clash.</p>
