<p><a href="https://www.dailyfaceoff.com/teams/colorado-avalanche/line-combinations">Colorado Avalanche</a> goaltender Scott Wedgewood has been added to the Canadian National Team’s list of possible participants for the 2026 Milano-Cortina Winter Olympics, according to <em>TSN</em> hockey insider Darren Dreger. </p>

<p>His <em>TSN</em> colleague Pierre LeBrun confirmed the report, saying he was added on Monday. </p>

<p>Wedgewood, 33, is 13-1-2 with a .918 save percentage (SV%) and 2.09 goals against average (GAA) through 17 games with the Avalanche in 2025-26. </p>



<p>Almost one year to the day, Colorado <a href="https://www.dailyfaceoff.com/news/avalanche-acquire-scott-wedgewood-from-predators-for-justus-annunen-draft-pick">acquired Wedgewood in a trade</a> with the <a href="https://www.dailyfaceoff.com/teams/nashville-predators/line-combinations">Nashville Predators</a> on Nov. 30, 2024, in exchange for Justus Annunen and a 2025 sixth-round draft pick. In 36 regular-season games with the Avs, he’s posted a 26-5-3 record with a .918 SV% and 2.04 GAA. </p><div class="injected-ad injected-video" data-nn-ad-tech-injection-count="0" data-nn-ad-tech-max-gap="130" data-nn-ad-tech-current-gap="140"></div>



<p>Earlier this month, Colorado signed Wedgewood to a <a href="https://www.dailyfaceoff.com/news/colorado-avalanche-sign-scott-wedgewood-one-year-contract-extension-nhl">one-year, $2.5-million contract extension</a> that will keep him through the 2026-27 season. </p>



<p>In 171 career NHL games, the Brampton, Ont. native has a 75-55-26 record with a .907 SV% and 2.80 GAA with the Avalanche, Predators,&nbsp;<a href="https://www.dailyfaceoff.com/teams/dallas-stars/line-combinations">Dallas Stars</a>,&nbsp;<a href="https://www.dailyfaceoff.com/teams/utah-hockey-club/line-combinations">Arizona Coyotes</a>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<a href="https://www.dailyfaceoff.com/teams/new-jersey-devils/line-combinations">New Jersey Devils</a>.</p>



<p>He has also made four playoff appearances, all in relief, posting an .862 SV% and 2.28 GAA. </p>



<p>Wedgewood has spent the majority of his professional career in the American Hockey League, where he posted a 94-59-24 record with a .906 SV% and 2.54 GAA in 191 career games with the Albany Devils, Adirondack Thunder, Binghamton Devils, Ontario Reign, Rochester Americans, Syracuse Crunch and Texas Stars. </p>



<p>He also spent parts of four seasons playing junior hockey in the Ontario Hockey League with the Plymouth Whalers, going 61-39-5 with a .908 SV% and 3.08 GAA in 122 career games. </p><div class="injected-ad" data-nn-ad-tech-injection-count="1" data-nn-ad-tech-max-gap="130" data-nn-ad-tech-current-gap="149"></div>



<p>Internationally, Wedgewood represented Canada at the 2012 World Junior Championships. He went 2-0-0 with a .915 SV% and 2.42 GAA in three appearances. </p>



<p>The Avalanche <a href="https://www.dailyfaceoff.com/teams/standings">are 16-1-5 with 37 points</a> through their first 22 games of the 2025-26 season, which puts them first in the <a href="https://www.dailyfaceoff.com/teams/standings/2025/division">Central Division</a>, <a href="https://www.dailyfaceoff.com/teams/standings/2025/conference">Western Conference</a> and <a href="https://www.dailyfaceoff.com/teams/standings/2025/league">the entire league</a>. </p>
