Our Weekend Streamers series aims to help you steal your matchup by getting the most value possible out of the limited transactions in your fantasy league. Every Friday, I break down the teams and skaters with the most streamer-friendly schedules over the weekend.
This weekend features three games on Friday, 13 on Saturday, and eight on Sunday. There are five teams on the Friday/Sunday schedule this weekend, giving us plenty of streaming options to consider. After combing through the wire, I’ve narrowed down the top options at each ownership range in Yahoo! Fantasy leagues, starting with 30% – 21%. Good luck, and happy streaming!
30% – 21%: Teuvo Teravainen (LW/RW – 21% Owned)
Though he’s been held off the scoresheet in each of his last three games, Teravainen has quietly been one of the more productive players in the league since the turn of the calendar year. In 35 games in 2025, Teravainen has racked up 24 assists, while also finding the back of the net eight times. That assist-heavy production profile is what we’ve come to expect out of Teravainen, and it’s what he can offer to help push your fantasy team over the edge this weekend.
While his lack of exposure to Connor Bedard at 5v5 limits his upside, Teravainen is a focal point on Chicago’s top power-play unit. He has 11 power-play points since the New Year, while averaging over 17 minutes a game during that span. His heavy usage and consistent power-play production gives him a very steady floor this weekend, particularly in Sunday’s matchup against the Penguins. Only the San Jose Sharks are surrendering more goals per game than Pittsburgh.
20% – 11%: Kyle Palmieri (RW – 20% owned)
While the Islanders’ may have sold off Palmieri’s most frequent linemate in Brock Nelson, it has thankfully resulted in him receiving a boost in ice-time and a cemented role on the Isles’ top line and power-play unit. Palmieri has found himself a new home alongside Bo Horvat and Anders Lee at 5v5 and on the power-play, and he continues to fire the puck at a nearly elite rate. Although his raw production has tailed off since the Nelson trade, the underlying numbers remain as strong as ever for Palmieri. He’s averaging just under three shots a game in the post-Nelson era while playing over 19.5 minutes a night.
The Islanders’ newly formed top-line is creating plenty of valuable shooting opportunities for Palmieri, as the trio averages over 28 scoring chances and 12 high-danger chances per 60. Despite a pair of challenging matchups against the Wild and Capitals, the Isles’ heavy reliance on their top line means Palmieri is as good of a bet to find the back of the net this weekend as anyone you can pluck off the waiver wire.
10% – 0%: Marco Kasper (C/LW – 9% owned)
Rounding off this weekend’s list of potential fantasy playoff saviours is Detroit’s Marco Kasper. The eighth-overall pick of the 2022 NHL Entry Draft has bounced up and down the Red Wings lineup this season, but has produced whenever given the chance to play in the top-six, which is exactly where he finds himself this weekend. Kasper has played more than 18 minutes in just ten games this year, and unsurprisingly, they’ve been the most productive games of his season. He is a near point per game player when given the chance to command a top-six role, scoring four goals and adding five assists in those ten games.
The 20-year-old forward is projected to centre Lucas Raymond and Michael Rasmussen on Detroit’s second line this weekend. While the three of them have only played about three full games together, they are creating an impressive 16 high-danger chances per 60. If those short-term trends hold up this weekend, Kasper could prove to be a steal off the wire as the Red Wings gear up for a pair of must-win games against the Hurricanes and Panthers.
