<p>As Frank Seravalli has reported, <a href="https://www.dailyfaceoff.com/teams/carolina-hurricanes/line-combinations">Carolina Hurricanes</a> goaltender Frederik Andersen is dealing with an undisclosed injury and will be out of the lineup tonight versus the <a href="https://canucksarmy.com/">Vancouver Canucks</a>.</p>



<p>Seravalli was able to provide a bit of clarity on the injury stating it did not have anything to do with the previous blood clots that Andersen has dealt with.</p>



<p>Carolina has recalled Spencer Martin from their American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate the Chicago Wolves. Goaltender Pyotr Kochetkov will get the start tonight vs. Vancouver.</p>

<p>The Danish netminder has appeared in four games this season recording a 1.48 goals against average and .941 save percentage.</p><div class="injected-ad injected-video" data-nn-ad-tech-injection-count="0" data-nn-ad-tech-max-gap="130" data-nn-ad-tech-current-gap="146"></div>



<p>Last season, Andersen missed time due to blood clotting issues that arose last Nov. but managed to put together a 13-2-0 record in 16 appearances. He appeared in 10 Stanley Cup Playoff contests as the New York Rangers eliminated the Canes.</p>



<p>The Hurricanes originally signed Andersen in 2021 to a two-year contract, worth $4.5 million per season. After two successful years in North Carolina, Andersen re-upped with the Hurricanes to another two-year deal.</p>



<p>Andersen has played with three different teams throughout his career. He started out with the Anaheim Ducks in the 2013-14 season after being selected by the team in the third round, No. 87 overall, of the 2012 NHL Draft. Andersen then was dealt to the Toronto Maple Leafs where he became a starter and appeared in at least 60 games in each of his first three seasons with the team.</p><div class="injected-ad" data-nn-ad-tech-injection-count="1" data-nn-ad-tech-max-gap="130" data-nn-ad-tech-current-gap="143"></div>



<p>Through 499 career NHL games with the Ducks, Maple Leafs, and Hurricanes, Andersen has put together a 295-127-52 record to go along with 27 shutouts and a .915 save percentage. He’s also gone 38-30 in 72 career playoff contests.</p>
