<p><a href="https://www.dailyfaceoff.com/teams/los-angeles-kings/line-combinations">Los Angeles Kings</a> head coach Jim Hiller announced that forward Warren Foegele will miss Tuesday’s game against the <a href="https://www.dailyfaceoff.com/teams/san-jose-sharks/line-combinations">San Jose Sharks</a> with an upper-body injury, and will “miss some time”. The length of Foegele’s absence is still undetermined.</p>

<p>Foegele left Sunday’s 3-1 win over the <a href="https://www.dailyfaceoff.com/teams/chicago-blackhawks/line-combinations">Chicago Blackhawks</a> early after taking a hit in the corner from Chicago’s Nick Foligno, clearly favoring his right arm as he went to the dressing room.</p>

<p>Foegele is in the second season of a three-year, $10.5 million deal with the Kings. In ten games so far this season, he’s scored just one goal with zero assists.</p><div class="injected-ad injected-video" data-nn-ad-tech-injection-count="0" data-nn-ad-tech-max-gap="130" data-nn-ad-tech-current-gap="149"></div>



<p>Last season, the Markham, Ont. native had a career-best campaign, playing all 82 regular-season games for Los Angeles and putting up 24 goals and 22 assists for 46 points. He also contributed a goal and two assists in the Kings’ first-round playoff loss to the <a href="https://oilersnation.com/">Edmonton Oilers</a>.</p>



<p>Drafted in the third round of the 2014 Draft by the <a href="https://www.dailyfaceoff.com/teams/carolina-hurricanes/line-combinations">Carolina Hurricanes</a>, Foegele spent his first three full NHL seasons in Carolina. His best season as a Hurricane came in 2019-20, when he scored 13 goals and 17 assists for 30 points in 68 games played. </p>



<p>Prior to the 2021-22 season, Carolina traded Foegele to Edmonton in exchange for defenseman Ethan Bear. Foegele spent three years with the Oilers, with the third being his semi-breakout, scoring 20 goals and 21 assists for 41 points over 82 games in 2023-24. </p><div class="injected-ad" data-nn-ad-tech-injection-count="1" data-nn-ad-tech-max-gap="130" data-nn-ad-tech-current-gap="139"></div>



<p>This will be the first game action Foegele misses since the 2022-23 season, as he’s played all 82 games each of the last two years.</p>



<p>The Kings have gotten off to a solid start this season, having earned 11 points in 10 games and sitting third in the Pacific Division. After playing the Sharks on Tuesday, Los Angeles will begin a four-game homestand starting with the <a href="https://www.dailyfaceoff.com/teams/detroit-red-wings/line-combinations">Detroit Red Wings</a> on Thursday.</p>
