The Nashville Predators have selected winger Teddy Stiga with the No. 55 overall pick in the 2024 NHL Draft.

The Sudbury, Massachusetts product spent the entirety of his 2023-24 season with the United States National Under 18 Team in the U.S. National Team Development Program, where he had 36 goals and 43 assists for 79 points in 61 regular season games, which was third on the team in scoring behind the 2025 Draft eligible James Hagens and the fellow 2024 Draft eligible Cole Eiserman.

Stiga had 18 goals and 20 assists for 38 points in 27 games against USHL competition, with the USNTDP’s U-17 and U-18 teams splitting the schedule.

Stiga was a big part of USA’s roster at the Men’s U18 World Championship, where he had six goals and five assists for 11 points in seven games, which was fifth on the team in scoring and eighth in the tournament overall. Team USA finished the tournament with a silver medal, losing to Canada in the gold medal game.

Daily Faceoff’s own prospect expert Steven Ellis projected Stiga to go 17th overall in his Top 120 Draft Rankings. Ellis had this to say about him in his prospect rankings:

“Stiga brings boundless energy to every shift, buzzing through the ice like his life depends on it,” Ellis said. “After putting him as a mid-second rounder last time, I feel confident pushing him up because he has been my favorite draft-eligible USNTDPer way too often this year not to. I think he’s a middle-six player in the NHL, but he can play with anyone and in just about any role. That type of versatility makes him very useful, and every team can use him.”

Stiga becomes the first selection by the Predators in the 2024 NHL Entry Draft.
