<p>The <a href="https://www.dailyfaceoff.com/teams/new-york-rangers/line-combinations">New York Rangers</a> <a href="https://www.nhl.com/rangers/news/rangers-agree-to-terms-with-jackson-dorrington">announced</a> Sunday that the club has signed defenseman Jackson Dorrington to a three-year, entry-level contract. As part of the agreement, Dorrington will join the AHL affiliated Hartford Wolf Pack for the balance of the current campaign.</p>



<p>Through 37 appearances this season with the NCAA’s Northeastern Huskies, Dorrington notched two goals and 13 assists for 15 points coupled with 20 penalty minutes and a minus-two rating. In all, through three seasons with the Huskies, Dorrington totaled eight goals and 25 assists for 33 points in 105 career contests.</p>



<p>Prior to committing to the Huskies, Dorrington spent a single season with the USHL’s Des Moines Buccaneers where through 41 outings he scored three times and added eight assists for 11 points alongside a minus-14 rating and 51 penalty minutes.</p><div class="injected-ad injected-video" data-nn-ad-tech-injection-count="0" data-nn-ad-tech-max-gap="130" data-nn-ad-tech-current-gap="131"></div>



<p>A 20-year-old native of North Reading, Mass., Dorrington has also seen success in international competition including a four-game showing with Team USA at the 2021 Hlinka Gretzky Cup where through four outings he finished with one assist, a plus-one rating, and 25 penalty minutes.</p>



<p>Dorrington was originally chosen by the <a href="https://canucksarmy.com/">Vancouver Canucks</a> in the sixth round of the 2022 NHL Draft. In early February, the Rangers acquired Dorrington from the Canucks alongside veteran forward J.T. Miller in a deal that saw New York part with center Filip Chytil, defenseman Victor Mancini, and a conditional first-round selection in the upcoming NHL Draft.</p>



<p>For the Rangers, on the season the club sits 34-31-6 and one point back of the <a href="https://www.dailyfaceoff.com/teams/montreal-canadiens/line-combinations">Montreal Canadiens</a> for the second wildcard seed in the Eastern Conference. Following Saturday’s 5-3 victory over the Canucks, the Rangers will try for their second consecutive victory when the squad returns to the ice Tuesday against the <a href="https://www.dailyfaceoff.com/teams/los-angeles-kings/line-combinations">Los Angeles Kings</a>.
