<p>Head coach Jon Cooper appears to be opting to go with 11 forwards and seven defenders in tonight’s matchup, which will likely mean awarding some extra minutes to top forwards such as Kucherov and Point in a matchup that could ultimately be the difference between winning the division or a first-round matchup versus the defending champs. </p>



<p>The Leafs will be playing night two of a back-to-back after losing 3-1 to the Florida Panthers last night and will be without top shutdown defender Jake McCabe. While Toronto has earned some solid results due to some strong offensive play and quality goaltending, they have allowed 30.98 shots against per 60 over the last 10 games and have not looked overly sharp defensively.</p>



<p>Point has scored eight goals over the last 10 games and continues to benefit from playing alongside a historically strong passer in Kucherov, who has put up 20 points over the last 10 games. <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Matvei Michkov: +230</h2>



<p>Michkov has been on a tear since the Flyers dismissed former head coach John Tortorella, recording four goals and seven points in four games. He has averaged 20:08 of time-on-ice in that span, which is a considerable uptick compared to his average of 16:19 under Tortorella. </p>



<p>Over the last five matchups, Michkov has generated 2.79 expected goals and poured 28 attempts on goal. He’s still known for being more of a playmaker but has the finishing talent to bury chances at a high rate when he does opt to shoot, and he’s been taking plenty of looks recently.</p>



<p>The New York Rangers have allowed 3.40 goals against per game in their last 10 matchups, and it’s apparent that head coach Peter Laviolette doesn’t have the solution to his team’s problems.</p><div class="injected-ad" data-nn-ad-tech-injection-count="2" data-nn-ad-tech-max-gap="130" data-nn-ad-tech-current-gap="131"></div>



<p>The Rangers have allowed 3.48 xGA/60 this season and would certainly hold even worse goals against totals if not for strong play from Igor Shesterkin. </p>



<p>However, it will be Jonathan Quick starting in tonight’s matchup, who holds a -1.6 GSAx and 3.03 GAA in 22 appearances this season.</p>



<p>Michkov should have a great chance of staying hot in this rivalry matchup versus a scuffling Rangers side, and at +230, there’s value backing him to score.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Matt Coronato: +270 </h2>



<p>The Anaheim Ducks have been among the league’s very worst defensive teams this season, as they have allowed 3.68 xGA/60 and 32.03 shots against per game. Over the last 10 games, they’ve been comparably shaky defensively, allowing 32.02 SA/60 and 3.58 xGA/60.</p>



<p>John Gibson and Lukas Dostal have prevented the Ducks’ horrid defensive play from being entirely exposed, but it has been confirmed that third-stringer Ville Husso will start in this matchup. <p>He has scored at a higher rate since the 4 Nations Face-Off, which makes sense, as he has consistently played in more favorable roles. Over the last 22 games, Coronato has scored eight goals and he has goals in two straight entering tonight’s matchup.</p>



<p>The Flames’ current second line of Coronato, Jonathan Huberdeau, and Morgan Frost holds a 56.7% expected goal share, which is the highest mark on any of Calgary’s offensive lines that have played over 100 minutes together this season.
