<p>Senators goalie Anton Forsberg had to be stretchered off the ice during the third period of his team’s game against the Edmonton Oilers on Saturday.&nbsp;</p>



<p>Oilers forward Zach Hyman was pushed into the goaltender, who fell awkwardly into the net.&nbsp;Trainers came onto the ice to help Forsberg to the locker room with a stretcher.</p>

<p>The injury comes at a difficult time for the Senators, who lost Cam Talbot to a lower-body injury before the all-star break.&nbsp;Forsberg was making his fourth consecutive start in relief of Talbot when he had to leave the game hurt.&nbsp;Mads Sogaard, who has played most of his hockey with the AHL Belleville Senators this year, finished the contest.</p><div class="injected-ad injected-video" data-nn-ad-tech-injection-count="0" data-nn-ad-tech-max-gap="130" data-nn-ad-tech-current-gap="138"></div>



<p>Forsberg had conceded five goals in the game, a 6-3 shellacking that ended a 4-game win streak for the Sens.&nbsp;The Senators fell to 24-24-3 on the year and are second-to-last in the Atlantic Division.&nbsp;The home loss was Ottawa’s first game since the break.</p>



<p>Despite a busy off-season during which they added Claude Giroux and Alex DeBrincat, the Senators have not occupied a playoff spot for any significant length of time.&nbsp;With both of their primary NHL goalies apparently injured, GM Pierre Dorion may have to reevaluate his team’s strategy as the trade deadline approaches.</p>



<p>Before Saturday’s loss, Forsberg was 11-10-2 on the season with a 3.13 GAA and .905 save percentage.&nbsp; The Swede turned 30 in November and is under contract with Ottawa until 2025.</p>
