<p>One of the game’s most beloved players is heading to the west coast. </p>



<p>PWHL Seattle announced Wednesday that the club signed <a href="https://www.thepwhl.com/en/news/2025/july/09/carly-cj-jackson-signs-one-year-deal-with-pwhl-seattle">goaltender Carly “CJ” Jackson to a one-year deal</a> that will keep them with the club through the 2025-26 season. </p>

<p>“We are thrilled to welcome CJ to Seattle,” said PWHL Seattle General Manager Meghan Turner. “They are dedicated in every way – as an athlete, a teammate, and an ambassador in the community. CJ consistently demonstrates our values and will be a key component of our goalie group and team.”</p>



<p>The 28-year-old Jackson spent the last two seasons with the Toronto Sceptres, posting a 1-0-0 record with a .962 save percentage (SV%) and 0.93 goals against average (GAA). They also appeared in one PWHL playoff game, stopping 22 of 26 shots in a 4-3 overtime loss to the Minnesota Frost. </p><div class="injected-ad injected-video" data-nn-ad-tech-injection-count="0" data-nn-ad-tech-max-gap="130" data-nn-ad-tech-current-gap="168"></div>



<p>“I’m stoked to be a part of this historic team in the Emerald City – especially a city that hosts legendary women’s sports careers/ teams like Sue Bird and Seattle Storm,” Jackson said in a team statement. “I’m ready to bring it to the rink – let’s do this Seattle!”</p>



<p>Before joining the PWHL, Jackson, a native of Amherst, N.S., spent three seasons in the PHF, playing for the Buffalo Beauts and Toronto Six. In 32 career games, Jackson posted a 12-15-1 record with a .908 SV% and 3.05 GAA. They were a major part of the Six’s 2023 Isobel Cup Championship. </p>



<p>Before turning professional, Jackson spent five seasons with the NCAA’s University of Maine, posting a 45-55-18 record with a .923 SV% and 2.15 GAA. <p>PWHL Seattle is the league’s newest American expansion team. On June 20, <a href="https://www.dailyfaceoff.com/news/pwhl-seattle-hires-steve-orourke-first-head-coach-expansion">the team hired Steve O’Rourke</a>&nbsp;to become the first head coach in franchise history.</p>
