<p><a href="https://www.dailyfaceoff.com/teams/tampa-bay-lightning/line-combinations">Tampa Bay Lightning </a>forward Nikita Kucherov made history Tuesday night against the <a href="https://www.dailyfaceoff.com/teams/pittsburgh-penguins/line-combinations">Pittsburgh Penguins</a>, recording a goal and an assist to reach 100 points on the season, becoming just the 21st player in NHL history to hit the century mark five times in a season. </p>

<p>The Lightning were leading 6-0 with nine minutes to go in the third period. </p>

<p>Last season was Kucherov’s most productive year, finishing 2023-24 with 44 goals and 100 assists for 144 points. </p>



<p>Kucherov has plenty of hardware on his shelf, twice winning the Art Ross Trophy for most points in a season in 2018-19 and 2023-24. In 2018-19, he also won the Hart Trophy and Ted Lindsay Award. </p>



<p>Going into Tuesday night’s game, the Lightning were 40-25-5 with 85 points, third in the Atlantic Division. They’re 5-4-1 in their last 10 games. </p>



<p>Forward Brayden Point leads the team with 35 goals, forward by Jake Guentzel’s 34 goals and Brandon Hagel’s 33. <p>Captain Victor Hedman, now in his 16th NHL season, leads all Tampa Bay defenders with 54 points, scoring 12 goals and 42 assists. </p>
