In addition to selling out every home game during the league’s inaugural season, Toronto also drew a capacity crowd of 19,825 fans at Scotiabank Arena, home of the Toronto Maple Leafs, on Feb. 17 against Montreal.

In their first year of existence, the Sceptres, known as PWHL Toronto, finished 17-7-0 with 47 points, first in the league standings. Despite having home-ice advantage throughout the playoffs, Toronto lost to the eventual Walter Cup champion PWHL Minnesota three games to two in the first round.

Forward Natalie Spooner had a season for the ages, leading the league in both goals and points with 20 and 27, respectively, and was named both Forward of the Year and was awarded Billie Jean King MVP Award.

Her teammate Kristen Campbell led the league in wins with 16 and the most shutouts with three, and was named Goaltender of the Year. Head coach Troy Ryan was named Coach of the Year.

While Spooner and Campbell were named to the league’s First All-Star Team, forward Sarah Nurse and defender Renata Fast were named to the Second All-Star Team, and forward Emma Maltais earned a spot on the All-Rookie Team.
