The Vegas Golden Knights may have stolen the show at this year’s NHL Trade Deadline, acquiring Tomas Hertl from the San Jose Sharks. The trade was broken by <a href="https://twitter.com/PierreVLeBrun/status/1766191434477031724">TSN’s Bob McKenzie</a>.

According to <a href="https://twitter.com/DarrenDreger/status/1766197512619057465">TSN’s Darren Dreger</a>, the Golden Knights also acquired the Sharks’ third-round picks in 2025 and 2027. San Jose will receive the Golden Knights’ first-round pick in 2025 and their 2023 first-round pick, forward David Edstrom.



The Sharks will retain 17 percent of Hertl’s $8.137 million AAV, meaning the Golden Knights will only have to pay $6.75 million per year for the remaining seven seasons.

The Golden Knights already made a major splash at the Trade Deadline when they <a href="https://www.dailyfaceoff.com/news/vegas-golden-knights-to-acquire-defenseman-noah-hanifin-from-calgary-flames">acquired defenseman Noah Hanifin</a> from the Calgary Flames on Wednesday night. In return, the Flames receive defenseman Daniil Miromanov, a 2025 conditional first-round pick and 2025 third-round pick.
