Greer has five goals, six assists, 52 SOG, 70 PIMs and a +9 plus/minus through 51 games this season but will be the odd man out of Boston's lineup. The return of David Krejci (injury) is why Greer has been pushed out of the lineup.

It's unclear if Greer will draw into the Devils lineup on Wednesday but he's been recalled with 40 points (18G / 22A) in 46 AHL games this season. He appeared in two games with the Devils in mid-January.

With Matt Calvert out indefinitely, Greer is expected to make his season debut on Tuesday. Greer has two goals and nine AHL games this season and has picked up six points (1G / 5A) in 37 career games with the Avalanche.

Greer split the 2019 season between the AHL and NHL, scoring one goal and one assist in 15 games in Colorado. During his time in the AHL, Greer was second on the team with 44 points (19G / 25A) in 54 games. He will likely start 2020 in the AHL.

Greer has not registered a point in five games with the Avalanche but has 13 goals and 16 assists (29 points) in 36 AHL games. There is no word who the 22-year-old will replace on Thursday.
