The Coyotes sent Adin Hill to Tucson (AHL).

The Coyotes were carrying three goalies but sent Hill to the AHL before the roster freeze so that he can play before the Christmas break. Hill was excellent during his call-up, going 5-3-0 with a 1.97 GAA and .926 SV% in nine games. He returns to the AHL where he is 4-1-0 with a 3.22 GAA and .871 SV%.

Hill allowed four goals on 32 shots in the Coyotes loss to the Sharks last Saturday. Hill has had a great run but has lost two in a row while giving up a combined seven goals on 60 shots (.883 SV%). With Darcy Kuemper starting last, Hill will start for the first time in just under a week. He has a solid matchup in New York but is a risky option because of the team in front of him.

Hill gave up three goals on 28 shots in the Coyotes loss to the Capitals on Thursday. The loss snapped a four-game winning streak for Hill, who has a 1.09 GAA, .957 SV% and one shutout in six appearances this season. Tonight he takes on a Sharks team that is 5-8-3 on the road and one the tail-end of a back-to-back.

Hill stopped 25 of 26 shots in the Coyotes 2-1 win in Los Angeles on Tuesday. Hill extended his winning streak to four and he has now stopped 84 of the last 86 shots (.977 SV%) that he has faced. As good as Hill has been, the Capitals present a difficult challenge. Washington has won seven of their last nine (7-2-0) while averaging 4.22 goals for per game.

Hill allowed one goal on 26 shots in the Blues win over the Blues on Saturday. After being pressed into duty when Antti Raanta got hurt in Minnesota on Tuesday. Hill ended up stopping 59 of 60 shots (.983 SV%) to win three straight games. The 22-year-old netminder had an impressive showing and could keep things rolling tonight vs. a Kings team that ranks last in the NHL in goal-scoring (2.11 GF/pg).

Hill stopped all 29 shots that he faced in the Coyotes shutout win in Nashville on Thursday. Hill has stopped all 35 shots that he has faced this season and will look to keep his shutout streak going tonight vs. the Blues. St. Louis comes in having lost seven of his last 10 games.

Hill stopped all five shots that he faced after replacing Antti Raanta to preserve the Coyotes win in Minnesota on Tuesday. With Raanta and Darcy Kuemper both day-to-day, Hill will make his first start of the season. The 22-year-old came up after going 4-1-0 with a 3.22 GAA and .871 SV% in Tucson (AHL).

Antti Raanta was scheduled to start on Monday but was a very late scratch due to some tightness. Hill’s call-up suggests that Raanta is going to miss at least one game and Hill will backup Darcy Kuemper on Wednesday. Hill has gone 14-10-0 with a 2.41 GAA and .911 SV% with Tucson this season.

Hill gave up five goals on 30 shots in the Coyotes loss to Dallas last Thursday. In his first two NHL starts, Hill has given up a combined seven goals on 63 shots (.889 SV%). Tonight he will try and give the Coyotes their first win of the season as he faces a Rangers team sitting at 2.50 goals for per game so far this year.

It was a strong debut for the 21-year-old rookie netminder, earning him a second straight start to kick-off his NHL career. The Coyotes are still searching for their first win of the season, but will be in tough vs. the Stars again tonight.
