Barkov (knee) will travel to St. Louis and could play Tuesday.

Barkov took regular reps in Monday's practice and will travel with the team to St. Louis. The Panthers say Barkov could play as early as Tuesday--it would be his first game since November 16th. Barkov has nine goals and eight assists (17 points) in 15 games this season.

Barkov is week-to-week with a lower-body injury.

Barkov suffered a lower-body injury on a knee-on-knee collision with Scott Mayfield on Tuesday. Barkov will not need surgery but is still expected to miss a couple of weeks. With Barkov out, Sam Bennett was on the top line with Jonathan Huberdeau and Anthony Duclair, while Anton Lundell moved up to the second line in Wednesday's practice.

The Panthers have signed Aleksander Barkov to an eight-year, $80 million contract extension.

Barkov is entering the final year of a six-year, $35.4M deal and is now signed through the 2030 NHL season. The $10.0M AAV cap-hit for Barkov represents a $4.1M AAV raise for the 26-year-old. Barkov is coming off of a season in which he scored 26 goals with 32 assists (58 points) in 50 games.

Barkov (lower-body) will return to the Panthers lineup on Saturday.

Barkov has missed the last six games with a lower-body injury but will play Saturday vs. the Blue Jackets. In addition to Barkov, the Panthers will also get Patric Hornqvist back, providing a huge boost to their top-6 and power-play. Barkov has had an outstanding season so far, scoring 13 goals with 24 assists (37 points) in 31 games.

Barkov will miss his sixth straight game but he was on the ice for the morning skate and it looks likely that he'll play Saturday vs. the Blue Jackets. Noel Acciari will stick between Carter Verhaeghe and Mason Marchment while Barkov is out.

Barkov is expected to miss his fourth straight game on Tuesday but head coach Joel Quenneville expects him to play either Thursday, Saturday or Sunday. With Barkov out, Noel Acciari is expected to centre a line with Carter Verhaeghe and Anthony Duclair.

Barkov was a late scratch from Tuesday's game after getting hurt in warmups and will miss Thursday's game as well. With Barkov out, Noel Acciari picked up two assists in 19:48 TOI in his spot, so he could make for an interesting DFS play tomorrow. Head coach Joel Quenneville said that Barkov is "doing better today" so don't expect him to be out long-term.

Barkov missed the last three games with a lower-body injury but head coach Joel Quenneville said that "he looks good" and will play vs. the Penguins on Saturday. The Panthers went 1-1-1 while being outscored 11-to-7 in the three games without Barkov, who has two assists in two games vs. the Penguins this season.
