Alex Lyon News
Lyon will start Tuesday against the Canadiens.

Lyon entered Sunday’s game against the Rangers after Michal Neuvirth went down with a lower-body injury, making 25 saves on 26 shots en route to picking up the win for the Flyers. Despite his strong play on Sunday, the Flyers still felt it necessary to acquire Petr Mrazek from the Red Wings, though Lyon is still expected to see some starts so long as Neuvirth and Brian Elliot are both sidelined. He draws a strong matchup tonight at home against the Canadiens.

The 25-year-old is a bit of an unknown and is the fourth goalie on the Flyers depth chart but with injuries he’ll get his shot—he was 13-8-2 with a 2.90 GAA and .910 SV% in Lehigh Valley (AHL).
