There is no word on the severity of Ovechkin’s upper-body injury, but it sounds like it is not very serious and that it should no effect him in tomorrow’s game vs. the Islanders. He has just one goal and one assist in his last five games.
This is the first time that Ovechkin has skated since getting injured. The injury is believed to be minor so his participation in practice this morning is a positive sign that he will be back in tonight. We will get official word when it is made available.

Ovechkin may not be what he once was but how can you go from a guarantee of over a point-per-game pace to just 4 points in 9 games? He's got the skill he just needs to find the back of the net.
