Ben Bishop News
#Sens morning skate is underway. Ben Bishop is in the starters end.

Bishop has won his last three outings while posting a 2.02 GAA and .931 SV%. Ottawa is surprising everyone by continuing their solid play without Spezza, Karlsson and Anderson. He has a tough matchup vs. the Habs who have won six of their last seven.

With Craig Anderson out with an ankle injury it will be Bishop that will assume the starters role. Bishop is 2-2-0 with a 2.61 GAA and .919 SV% in limited action this season. He should make for a decent start today vs. the Maple Leafs as long as the Sens can find the back of the like they were unable to do on February 16th when the Leafs beat them 3-0.

Ben Bishop has now skated for 4 straight days. Today was first day with team. If he feels ok tomorrow, he may back-up vs BOS on Thursday.

Sounds like Bishop is an option to return this week. Should Craig Anderson falter in the playoffs, Bishop might get another shot at the starting gig.

While there has been much debate on whether the Ottawa Senators number one goaltender should return Friday in Montreal against the Canadiens or back in Ottawa Saturday versus the streaking Pittsburgh Penguins, it’s entirely possible that Ben Bishop could play in both games.

Bishop owners should probably keep a close eye on the starting goalies page this weekend as Bishop could get two more starts.
