Ben Lovejoy News
Lovejoy (finger) is expected to play on Friday vs. Edmonton.

Lovejoy has been sidelined with a fractured finger since October 26th. He is on IR right now, but with Josh Manson being sent down earlier in the week there is already room on the roster for Lovejoy to be activated. He will be paired with Cam Fowler tonight.

Lovejoy (finger) is still 2-3 weeks away from returning.

Lovejoy has been sidelined with a broken finger since October 26th. He has started skating on his own and can stick handle a little bit, but still is not expected to return until mid-to-late December.

Lovejoy will missed 6-8 weeks with a fractured finger.

Lovejoy was reevaluated this afternoon where it was determined that he fractured a finger in a fight with Joe Pavelski. Despite pummelling 'Little Joe' in the scrap, he is the one walking away with the injury and will miss at least a month and a half. Expect the Ducks to recall a defenseman but Mark Fistric should be in the lineup on Tuesday.

Lovejoy is out indefinitely with a broken hand.

Lovejoy broke his hand in a fight with Joe Pavelski in Sunday's penalty filled battle between the Ducks and Sharks. There were 155 penalty minutes handed out last night and despite Lovejoy manhandling Pavelski, he is the one walking away with the injury. Lovejoy was playing 18 minutes a night, so this will hurt the Ducks blueline for likely one month or longer. Marc Fistric will likely be in the lineup on Tuesday.

The Pittsburgh Penguins have acquired a 2014 fifth-round draft pick from the Anaheim Ducks in exchange for Ben Lovejoy, it was announced by executive vice president and general manager Ray Shero.

The acquisition is considered a depth move from the Pens who are currently dealing with an injured Fowler. Lovejoy wasn't a major fantasy contributor with the Pens so it is unlikely he will find an offensive stride with the Ducks.

Ben Lovejoy on first defense rotation with Matt Niskanen. Perhaps he's back in #Penguins lineup tongiht.

It's typical of the Penguins to rotate defenseman during morning skate so we don't know if Lovejoy does indeed play. He has a goal and three points through 27 games.

Looks like Lovejoy was removed from IR. The dreaded "**" is missing from his team on the official roster. http://bit.ly/axI6BP

With Carl Sneep back in the AHL, Lovejoy figures to play for the Pens tonight. The defensive defender last played on November 3rd.
