Ben Scrivens News
Looks like Scrivens will start both games in back-to-back.

Scrivens shutout Florida last night giving him shutouts in two straight games. He has played very well since becoming Toronto's #1 goalie when James Reimer went down with an injury. He will look to continue his shutout streak tonight vs. Tampa Bay.

With Reimer on the shelf Scrivens will get the majority of the starts going forward. He is 0-1-0 with a 2.56 GAA and .939 SV% since Reimer was injured. He has a pretty good matchup vs. the Senators as life without Erik Karlsson begins.

Toronto comes in to tonight's game having won 4 straight and their last loss came against Carolina, their opponent tonight. Scrivens is 2-2-0 with a 2.56 GAA and .913 SV% this season and will likely see all the starts for the Leafs in the near future.

Reimer made 5 straight starts since Scrivens was pulled against the Islanders (Jan. 24). Reimer started last night against the Canes, so it was expected that Scrivens would get the start tonight. He needs to get back on track tonight vs. a struggling Capitals team.

Scrivens and the Maple Leafs are off to a good start this season. Scrivens (1-1, 1.53 GAA .929 SV%) sat last night while Reimer beat the Penguins. It looks like the goalie competition is bringing the best out of both goalies so far.

The 26-year-old Scrivens will get the start in goal again this evening.

Scrivens won in his first action of the season, 2-1 over the Habs. If he can get a couple of more wins and possibly solidify the #1 position in Toronto he'd be much more fantasy worthy. Until then its hard to recommend him as a fantasy starter.
