Brandon Pirri News
The Golden Knights have signed Brandon Pirri to a one-year deal worth $650K.

Pirri has proven to be a quality goal-scorer throughout his career, but hasn’t really been put in opportunities to succeed in recent years. Pirri had 22 goals in 49 games with the Panthers in 2014-15 and is coming off of a season where he tallied eight goals and 10 assists (18 points) in 60 contests with the Rangers.

The Rangers signed Brandon Pirri to a one-year deal worth $1.1 million.

Pirri, 25, split his 2015-16 season with the Panthers and Ducks, totalling 14 goals and 15 assists (29 points) across 61 games. Pirri is a quality goal-scorer, who will bring some offensive punch to the Rangers’ bottom-6. He had 49 goals and 31 assists (80 points) in 166 career games.

Pirri (ankle) will be a game-time decision on Wednesday.

Pirri has been out with an ankle injury since February 13th, but it looks like he will make his Ducks debut against the Rangers tonight. He skated with Ryan Getzlaf and David Perron in the morning skate, so it looks like his Ducks debut will come on the top line. He had 11 goals goals and 13 assists (24 points) in 52 games with the Panthers.

The Ducks have acquired Brandon Pirri from the Panthers for a 2016 sixth round pick.

Pirri is currently on IR, having missed the last six games with an ankle injury and is likely 1-2 weeks away from making his Ducks debut. He has picked up 11 goals and 13 assists (24 points) in 52 games this season and is coming off of a 22-goal year in 2014-15. He will provide the Ducks with forward depth and could work his way into their top-6.

Pirri (healthy scratch) will return to the Panthers lineup on Thursday.

Pirri was a healthy scratch in the last four games, but he will return on the Panthers’ third line tonight vs. the Red Wings. Pirri has 21 points (9G / 12A) in 46 games this season, but has not scored since January 5th.

Pirri will be a healthy scratch for a third straight game.

Pirri will be a healthy scratch once again on Tuesday. The Panthers are reportedly listening to offers on Pirri, but not actively shopping him. The Panthers have won the last two games, so there really is no reason to change their lineup.

Pirri left Tuesday’s game with a shoulder injury and did not return.

Pirri left the game after a hit just 17 seconds into his first shift of the game. After the game coach Gallant said the injury was related to his shoulder, but they didn’t know the severity of the injury yet. Expect an update in the next 24 hours.

Pirri skating on the Panthers top-line on Tuesday.

Pirri had two shots in 15:44 TOI in his return to the Panthers lineup on Monday. He centred the third line last night, but is skating with Nick Bjugstad and Jonathan Huberdeau on the Panthers’ top-line this morning. He had three goals in three games before being injured and the move to the top-line should give him more scoring opportunities. He is someone worth keeping an eye on in deep leagues.

Pirri (concussion) took part in the Panthers morning skate on Saturday.

Pirri has been sidelined since October 30th with a concussion, but he has been skating this week and appears to be nearing a return. It doesn't look like he will be in the lineup tonight, but he is definitely getting close.
