Brian Elliott News
Elliott will start Monday vs. the Senators.

Elliott stopped 25 of 27 shots in the Flyers win over the Islanders on Saturday. Even with Carter Hart (lower-body) healthy, the Flyers will stick with Elliott tonight vs. the Senators. Elliott is 4-1-1 with a 2.92 GAA and .918 SV% in his last six starts and is a great option against a depleted Senators team that has lost 10 of their last 11 (1-9-1).

The Flyers have activated Brian Elliott (lower-body) from IR.

Elliott has been sidelined by a lower-body injury since November 15th but has been activated and recalled from his conditioning stint with Lehigh Valley (AHL). Elliott was 1-1-0 with a 3.47 GAA and .877 SV% in during his two games with the Phantoms. Elliott likely won’t see too much playing time moving forward with Carter Hart playing very well and Cam Talbot getting acquired from Edmonton.

Elliott was forced to leave Thursday’s game vs. the Devils and will miss at least two weeks with a lower-body injury. With Michal Neuvirth already on IR, the Flyers will roll with Calvin Pickard and Alex Lyon as their goaltending duo for the time being.

Elliott (head) is expected to be available on Thursday.

Elliott was forced to miss Monday’s game after suffering a head injury in Sunday’s practice, but was back on the ice for Wednesday’s session. Alex Lyon was returned to Lehigh Valley (AHL), suggesting that Elliott will at least be able to back Calvin Pickard up on Thursday.
