Makar was not on the ice for the morning skate and will miss his second straight game with an upper-body injury. Makar is listed as day-to-day, so considering him questionable for Friday's game in Vancouver.
Makar missed the last nine games with an upper-body injury that he suffered on December 7th. Makar will skate with Samuel Girard at even-strength and will be back on the top power-play unit in his return. He has a ridiculous eight goals and 20 assists (28 points) in 29 games this season.
Makar will miss his third straight game with an upper-body and remains day-to-day. The Avalanche did say that it's possible that Makar will be back for Monday's game in St. Louis, so monitor his status over the weekend.
Makar, who missed the first game of his pro career on Monday, skated on his own in a non-contact jersey on Tuesday. Makar has been "feeling better the last couple days" according to head coach Jared Bednar but the rookie defenseman is not expected to play vs. the Flyers.

Head coach Jared Bednar called him "day-to-day" but said there's a chance that he will play this week. With Makar out, Samuel Girard will be on Colorado's top power-play unit.
Makar signed his entry-level contract on Sunday and will immediately draw into the Avalanche lineup in Game 3. Makar won the Hobey Baker Award and will be paired with Patrik Nemeth and quarterback the second power-play unit.
Makar was selected No.4 overall in 2017 and signs his entry-level contract after winning the Hobey Baker Award in his sophomore season at UMass-Amherst, where he had 16 goals and 33 assists (49 points) in 41 games. The Avalanche just tied the series up in Calgary and there's a chance that Makar could draw right into the lineup in Games 3 or 4.
Makar led all AJHL defensemen in goals (24), assists (51) and points (75) while suiting up in 54 games for the Brooks Bandits. Makar is a strong skater with great vision and should excel as a puck-moving/offensive defenseman in the NHL.
