Calvin de Haan will likely be back in the Hurricanes' lineup Thursday

Calvin de Haan will draw back into the Hurricanes' lineup Thursday after being a late scratch in their previous contest due to injury. In his first two games with the Hurricanes, he has zero points and is -1, while only averaging 12:34 TOI per game as Carolina's sixth defenseman.

The Hurricanes signed Calvin de Haan to a one-year deal worth $850K.

de Haan was in training camp on a PTO but earned a one-year deal to help strengthen the left side of the Hurricanes' blueline. de Haan will likely battle with Ethan Bear for playing time but seems to be the front-runner to land the 3LD spot to open the season. de Haan had four goals and four assists (eight points) in 69 games with the Blackhawks last season.

de Haan will be back in the Blackhawks lineup on Monday.

de Haan did not play Saturday in Nashville but will replace Riley Stillman in the lineup on Monday. de Haan is dealing with some bumps and bruises, so this could be a common theme for him down the stretch. After just one goal in his first 60 games of the season, de Haan has three goals in his last seven games.
