Surprisingly he struggled in his first start against a bad Ottawa team, but should make for a solid start start tonight vs. a banged up Senators squad.

Talbot allowed one goal on 33 shots in the Oilers win over the Wild on Saturday. Talbot has won three in a row while turning aside 94 of 99 shots (.950 SV%). Tonight he faces the Flames for the third time this season—he is 2-0-0 with a 1.44 GAA and .953 SV% in the first two meetings of the season.

Talbot stopped 30 of 31 shots in the Oilers win over the Islanders on Thursday. Talbot followed up a three-game losing streak with two straight wins, stopping 62 of 66 shots (.939 SV%). The 30-year-old made 29 saves on 31 shots in a 3-2 win in his first start against the Wild this season.

Talbot allowed three goals on 34 shots in the Oilers loss to the Rangers on Saturday. Talbot has lost three in a row with a 3.70 GAA and .902 SV%. Despite his recent struggles, he has a good matchup tonight with the Coyotes in town—Talbot is 1-1-0 with a 2.38 GAA and .924 SV% in two previous starts against Arizona this season.

Talbot allowed four goals on 42 shots in the Oilers loss to the Predators on Thursday. After winning two in a row, Talbot has now lost his last two while surrendering a combined eight goals on 78 shots (.897 SV%). Tonight he will face his former team for the second time this season—he allowed three goals on 33 shots in a 4-2 loss in the first meeting.

Talbot allowed four goals on 36 shots in the Oilers loss in San Jose on Tuesday. In his last five starts, Talbot has gone 3-2-0 while allowing 14 goals on 170 shots (.918 SV%). He draws a tough test with the Predators in town, especially since his has a 3.20 GAA on home ice this season.

Talbot enters play having won three of his last four starts while posting a 2.48 GAA and .925 SV%. In his first start vs. the Sharks, Talbot turned aside 18 of 21 shots in a 5-3 win in mid-December.

Talbot stopped 42 of the 45 shots he faced in a losing effort against the Bruins on Tuesday. His play has been better of late with a .942 SV% over his last three starts to show for it. Tonight he will make his 26th start in 28 games for the Oilers, in what will be a tough matchup against the Avalanche.

Talbot made 24 saves on 26 shots in Sunday’s 4-2 victory over the Avalanche. It was the first win since February 5th for Talbot, who had logged five straight losses while sporting a .897 SV% over that span. He draws an awful matchup tonight at home against the Bruins.

Talbot stopped just 24 of the 28 shots he faced in Edmonton’s 4-1 loss in Vegas on Thursday. The loss was the fourth for Talbot in as many starts, as his dreadful season continues. He’ll get a prime opportunity to bounce-back this afternoon in Arizona.
