Talbot allowed three goals on 34 shots in a loss to the Blues on Monday. He will make his second start of the week in the front end of the Rangers’ back-to-back. He will take on the Leafs who have dropped two in a row and sit sixth in the Atlantic Division at 6-5-2.
The Rangers have a back-to-back set coming up this weekend, so it looks like they will go with Talbot on Saturday in Toronto and then Henrik Lundqvist at home vs. the Oilers on Sunday. The previous days practice is not as good of an indication as the game day skate, but we will revisit this on Saturday.
Talbot stopped all 12 shots that he faced in a relief effort of Henrik Lundqvist on October 12th. He only made two appearances in October, but the Rangers said he will see more playing time in the month of November. He has allowed four goals on 35 shots (.886 SV%) this season.
In his rookie season Talbot went 12-6-1 with a 1.64 GAA and .941 SV%, making himself one of fantasy's best spot-start options every time he got the nod. On Saturday he will start his sophomore season against a depleted Blue Jackets squad who are coming off of a win Thursday. This early in the season you likely are not looking for a spot-start, but if you are, Talbot would not be a bad one.
Head coach Alain Vigneault did not offer an update on Talbot's injury, but did say that David LeNeveu will back up again.
Talbot stopped all 26 shots that he faced in a win over the Oilers on March 30th. He was a spectator in the last five games, but will get the call tonight vs. the Habs. Talbot posted a 22-save shutout in his first career start against Montreal. His 1.67 GAA and .940 SV% on the season make him a great spot start option whenever he's in goal.
Talbot stopped 24 of 26 shots in a loss to the Wild on March 13th. Tonight, Talbot will make only his second start in March. Henrik Lundqvist is back to his old for which leaves Talbot on the bench most nights. He makes for a nice Sunday spot-start in Edmonton tonight. He has gone 7-3-0 with a 1.55 GAA and .942 SV% on the road this season.
Talbot stopped 31 of 32 shots in a 2-1 victory over the Blackhawks on February 27. He has sat on the bench for the last six games, but will get back between the pipes in Minnesota tonight. He is 11-5-0 with a 1.75 GAA and .938 SV% this season and stopped 24 shots in a 4-1 win over the Wild in November.
After a busy Olympics for Henrik Lundqvist, Talbot will get the start in the first game back for the Rangers. He stopped 29 of 31 shots in a loss to the Oilers in his last start. He has gone 10-5-0 with a 1.79 GAA and .935 SV% in his rookie season. He will be in tough on Thursday with the Blackhawks coming to MSG.

The win moved Talbot to 10-3-0 with a 1.62 GAA and .940 SV% on the season. He has become one of fantasy's best spot-start options this season and should be considered for a start again tonight. He stopped 22 shots in a 3-2 win over the Isles back on October 29.
Talbot has not started since January 4 when he stopped 24 of 25 shots in a win over the Maple Leafs. He has had a great year so far, but Henrik Lundqvist has turned things around lately which will limit Talbot's value going forward. On Saturday he will take on the Senators in Ottawa. He is 6-2-0 with a 1.55 GAA and .941 SV% on the road.

He will face a Maple Leafs team who he beat 2-1 in a shootout on December 23.
With Lundqvist starting in the loss last night, Talbot is likely to start today. The Leafs aren't a great matchup for the youngster, however.

Let the goalie controversy begin… Talbot will be getting his second straight start after allowing two goals on 37 shots in a big win over John Tortorella and the Canucks on Saturday. Talbot is 6-1-0 with a 1.49 GAA and .944 SV% in his first seven career NHL games.
