Carey Price News
Habs Carey Price will make his 4th straight start tomorrow night vs. the Nashville Predators.

Price extended his winning streak to three after backstopping the Habs to a win over the Blue Jackets on Thursday. He allowed three goals on 33 shots but it was enough to get the W. He has a great chance to push the streak to four vs. Nashville.

Price stopped all 36 shots he faced to record his first shutout of the season on Tuesday. He has only allowed one goal on 76 shots in his last two starts, which has lowered his GAA to 1.81 and brought his SV% up to .944. He has a good chance to continue his hot play vs. a Columbus team that ranks 23rd in the NHL in scoring.

Price will start tomorrow vs. the Flyers.

Price struggled down the stretch at the end of last season but played well stopping 34 of 38 shots, albeit in a losing effort to the Maple Leafs on opening night. Toronto also beat Philadelphia on the following night; who Price will face tomorrow as the Habs look to get into the win column.

Carey Price will start the season opener versus the Maple Leafs.

In his sixth season with the Candiens, Price went 21-13-4 with a 2.59 GAA and .905 SV%. Those numbers were his worst since 2009 and with the Olympics coming this winter, Price will try and make his case for a Team Canada roster spot early in the year. Feel free to deploy him as a solid number-1 fantasy option.

Price will be in goal for Game 4.

Price struggled allowing six goals on 30 shots in a 6-1 blowout loss in Game 3. He was not playing well towards the end of the season and unfortunately for the Habs hit has carried over into the early part of the playoffs. He has a 3.69 GAA and .879 SV% so far, that is not going to get it done for Montreal.

Price was 17-6-4 through the first three months of the season, but April was a little different. He was 4-7-0 with a 3.49 GAA and .879 SV% down the stretch. However the playoffs are a whole new season and Price was great against the Sens this year. He went 2-0-1 with a 1.58 GAA and .944 SV% vs. Ottawa.
