Lindgren allowed four goals on 30 shots in the Canadiens loss in Detroit on January 7th. Since coming up from the AHL, Lindgren has lost both of his starts while allowing a combined six goals on 65 shots (.908 SV%). Lindgren will start Tuesday in Detroit.

Lindgren allowed two goals on 35 shots in the Canadiens loss in Carolina on New Year's Eve. It was a solid season debut for the 26-year-old. He faced the Red Wings in 2017, stopping 25 of 27 shots in a 3-2 win. Montreal has somehow lost their first two games vs. Detroit this season, so they'll lean on Lindgren tonight on the tail-end of a back-to-back to try and make that 1-2.

The Canadiens have recalled Charlie Lindgren from Laval (AHL).

With Antti Niemi struggling mightily as of late, Lindgren comes up as a third goalie and could give Carey Price some rest down the stretch. The 25-year-old has gone 11-14-1 with a 2.94 GAA and 884 SV% in the AHL this season and is 7-8-2 with a 2.78 GAA and .914 SV% in 17 career NHL appearances.
