Ehrhoff has been out since January 28th, but it looks like he could be back on the Pens’ blue line tonight vs. the Capitals. Before getting hurt, he has three goals and 10 assists in 43 games, which has too be considered disappointing for the 32-year-old. Expect Derrick Pouliot to come out of the lineup if Ehrhoff ends up being good-to-go.

Ehrhoff has been sidelined since January 28th because of a concussion, but it looks like he will be back in the lineup tonight vs. the Panthers. With Ehrhoff back in, it looks like Derrick Pouliot will come out. Ehrhoff has 13 points (3G / 10A) in 43 games this season.

Ehrhoff suffered the lower-body injury on Thursday vs. Colorado. He will miss the Pens remaining three games before the Christmas break, but could be back by December 27th vs. the Capitals. With Ehrhoff out, Derrick Pouliot will make his NHL debut.

Ehrhoff played just 9:03 TOI before leaving the game with an undisclosed injury following an collision with Avs’ forward Jarome Iginla. Ehrhoff will be reevaluated on Friday morning and expect an updated injury report to be released. Consider him questionable for Saturday.

The Penguins have signed Christian Ehrhoff to a one-year deal with $4 million.

Ehrhoff is coming off of a long-term deal. He signs a short-term deal to get a shot at winning a Stanley Cup after spending the last three seasons in Buffalo. Ehrhoff had six goals and 27 assists (33 points) in 79 games last season. He is a good puck moving defenseman who will fill-in for losing Matt Niskanen in free-agency. After finishing minus-27 last year, expect a much better plus/minus in Pittsburgh next season.

Ehrhoff took a puck to the ear on Sunday which required 40 stitches following the game. It was a pretty gruesome gash that Ehrhoff elected to share on Twitter, but depending on how well it has healed, he could be held out of tonight's game vs. the Red Wings. Mark Pysyk has been recalled and will play if Ehrhoff can't go.
