Corey Perry News
The Ducks have placed Corey Perry (flu) on injured reserve.

Perry will miss his third consecutive game when the Ducks take on Vancouver at Honda Center. He can be eligible to return for Wednesday's home game against the Kings. Perry has 11 goals to lead the Ducks, which also tie him with Rick Nash of the New York Rangers for the NHL lead. They placed Perry on IR to make room to call-up defenseman Mat Clark from Norfolk (AHL) to help fill holes on the blue line.

Perry (flu) is doubtful for the Ducks’ game on Sunday.

Perry has missed the last two games and was not at Ducks’ practice on Saturday. He is struggling with the flu and it does not seem likely that he will play tomorrow vs. Vancouver. After Sunday, the Ducks are off until Wednesday, so there is a good chance he will be back for that clash with the Kings.

The Ducks will be even deeper and stronger Friday, when former league MVP Corey Perry returns from his four-game suspension for elbowing Minnesota's Jason Zucker in the head on March 12.

It will be Perry's first game since signing an eight-year, $69 million extension. Perry has nine goals and 15 assists in 25 games this season.

Corey Perry's 8 year deal with ANA is $8.625M AAV.

Perry will remain in Anaheim for the next eight years along with Ryan Getzlaf. The two have inked eight year deals this season for very similar money. Perry gets $69 million over eight years, while Getzlaf gets $66 million. Perry has 214 goals and 239 assists for a total of 453 points in 555 career NHL games, all of which have been with the Ducks.
