Kulikov has been out since November 29th but will likely replace Sami Niku or Anthony Bitetto on the third pair on Thursday. He has one goal and three assists in 25 games this season.
Kulikov is expected to be out until the All-Star break, so his move to IR is simply a formality to open up a roster spot. The Jets used that roster spot to claim Nick Shore off of waivers from the Maple Leafs.
Kulikov was hurt last Friday in Anaheim and will miss at least 7-8 weeks with an upper-body injury. With Kulikov out, Anthony Bitetto/Carl Dahlstrom is expected to remain in the Jets lineup moving forward.

Kulikov has left the Winnipeg Jets to attend to a “personal family matter.” Josh Morrissey was back on the ice for Monday’s practice and took Kulikov’s spot. Sami Niku will also be recalled from Manitoba (AHL) to provide the Jets with blueline depth while Kulikov is away.
Kulikov has missed the last four games with an upper-body injury but is set to return to the lineup on Saturday. Kulikov will replace Joe Morrow, who is out for 2-3 weeks.

Kulikov and Joe Morrow continue to shuffle in and out of the Jets lineup and Friday will be Morrow’s turn to play. Kulikov has registered just one assist in 11:57 TOI/GM in his first five games of 2018-19.
Kulikov has been a healthy scratch for the last three games, but will replace Joe Morrow in the lineup tonight. Kulikov has one assist while averaging 14:04 TOI/GM in two games this season.
Kulikov was sent back to Winnipeg after suffering an upper-body injury in New Jersey last Thursday. With Kulikov out for the next two games, Joe Morrow will remain on the Jets blueline in Washington on Monday.
