Coghlan was a late addition to the lineup in Carolina's previous game after Calvin de Haan was announced out due to injury. Coghlan collected 2 PIM across 14:59 TOI in his debut. He will head back to the player's press box Thursday.
The Hurricanes have acquired Dylan Coghlan and Max Pacioretty from the Golden Knights in exchange for future considerations.
Coghlan (illness) is not expected to play on Friday.
Coghlan was not on the ice for the morning skate and is not expected to play because of the flu. Zach Whitecloud will return from a six-game absence to replace Coghlan.
Coghlan has been added to the COVID-19 protocol list and will not play Saturday.
The Golden Knights have re-signed Dylan Coghlan to a two-year contract.

Coghlan was an underaged free agent, who signed with the Golden Knights after four years in the WHL. The 22-year-old had 11 goals and 13 assists (24 points) in 60 AHL games a season ago and will be filling in for Alex Pietrangelo (COVID-19) on Friday.
