Dylan DeMelo News
DeMelo is expected to miss 3-4 weeks with a broken finger.

DeMelo broke his finger late in Wednesday's game in Montreal and will be out until early-January. This is a huge blow for the Senators, who lose arguably their most consistent/reliable defenseman of 2019-20. Erik Brannstom could be summoned from the AHL to replace DeMelo.

DeMelo has missed the last five games with an upper-body injury but will play tonight in New Jersey. DeMelo has enjoyed a quality campaign, picking up eight points (3G / 5A), 44 SOG and a plus-9 rating in 30 games.

The Sharks signed Dylan DeMelo to a two-year extension worth $1.8M ($900K AAV).

During his first full NHL season, DeMelo failed to record a goal but added 20 assists in 63 games. Over 291 career pro games (AHL + NHL), DeMelo has scored just 10 goals, so don’t expect him to start scoring any time soon.
