That, Eddie Lack is. What he is not is ready to be a backup in the NHL. Not yet.
With Cory Schneider already entrenched in the backup role and Roberto Luongo the clear-cut starting goalie, Lack will start the year in Chicago. Last season, he posted a respectable 2.26 GAA and .926 SV% while playing for the Manitoba Moose. If Schneider or Luongo is moved, look for Lack to have the inside track on the backup job.
