Forsberg is a big prospect and was acquired from Washington in the Martin Erat deal at the deadline. The former #11 pick in the 2012 NHL Entry draft had one assist and a minus-3 in four games with the Preds.

Forsberg is replacing Hornqvist who is out with an upper body injury.

Forsberg will just be training with the team but if the practices go well, he may be inserted in the lineup. Forsberg is still 18 and this preview of the NHL could better prepare him for training camp next season.

Forsberg, 18, was selected 11th overall by the Capitals in 2012.
