Shesterkin's NHL career is off to a good start, winning four of his first five starts while posting a 2.61 GAA and .922 SV%. Tonight he faces a Kings team that has lost nine of their last 10 (1-8-1) while scoring just 1.80 goals per game.

He will make his NHL debut against a Colorado team that played last night and have lost six of their last nine (3-5-1).

Shesterkin is the Rangers' top goalie prospect and one of the best goalie prospects in the entire NHL. The 24-year-old was a fourth-round pick in 2014 and came over to North America this year. He has dominated at the AHL-level, going 15-4-3 with a 1.93 GAA and .932 SV% and deserves a look at the NHL-level. He had ridiculous numbers in the KHL over the last three seasons, never having a GAA over 1.69 and while posting a .940 SV% and winning 71 of 95 games.

Shesterkin, 23, was a fourth-round pick (No.118 overall) in 2014 and enjoyed an outstanding season as with St. Petersburg SKA (KHL). Shesterkin went 24-4-0 with a 1.11 GAA, .953 SV% in 10 shutouts in 28 games this season.
