Kovalchuk skated today but left the ice early. He remains listed as day-to-day with his lower body injury. If you own him, make sure to keep him on the bench tonight.
It seems unlikely that Kovalchuk would play RW with Elias moving to center again, which is what Elias expects.
Kovalchuk clearly looks more comfortable on the left side. Expect a bounce back season where he assuredly produces more than 31 goals and 60 points.
