Campbell allowed four goals on 32 shots in the Kings win over the Predators on Saturday. Campbell has won both of his starts despite allowing a combined seven goals on 61 shots (.885 SV%). Jonathan Quick continues to struggle, so Campbell could continue to carve out a larger role in the Kings’ crease. Campbell draws a tough home matchup with the 5-1-0 Hurricanes in-town.

The Kings are likely going with Campbell against the Flames because he was 1-1-0 with a 0.46 GAA, .988 SV% and one shutout against them last year.

Campbell spent most of last season with the Kings as Jonathan Quick’s backup, going 10-14-1 with a 2.30 GAA and .928 SV%. Campbell was excellent in 2019 and showcased that he is capable of being a full-time NHLer after looking like a first-round bust early in his career.

Campbell went 2-2-0 with a 2.55 GAA, .924 SV% and one shutout in five appearances in the month of March. Campbell has seen limited playing time this season and is one game off of for the league leaders—however his 2.19 GAA and .931 SV% are both second best in the NHL behind Robin Lehner through his 17 appearances this season.

Campbell has gone 0-2-0 despite stopping 72 of the 75 shots (.960 SV%) that he has faced since returning to the NHL on New Year’s Day. Tonight he take on the team that drafted him back in 2010--he comes in at 1-6-0 with a 2.34 GAA and .930 SV% on the road.
