Campbell will start Sunday vs. the Red Wings.

Campbell appeared in five games for the Kings last season, going 2-0-2 with a 2.48 GAA and .924 SV%. He has spent most of his career in the AHL and was 11-10-1 with a 2.83 GAA and .912 SV% in his most recent season. With a soft opponent on home-ice, Campbell is an intriguing spot-start for owners desperate for some goaltending help on the final night of the week.

The Kings signed Jack Campbell to a two-year deal on July 11th.

The Kings acquired Campbell from the Stars back in late June and have secured him for the net two seasons. Campbell was drafted 11th overall in 2010 but has failed to make it to the NHL and took a step back last year, splitting his time between the AHL and the ECHL. Look for him to start the 2016-17 with Ontario (AHL).

Dallas re-signed goaltender Jack Campbell to a one-year contract extension.

Campbell, 23, was the Stars first round pick (11th overall) in the 2010 draft, but has been stuck at the AHL level since being selected. He was 14-14-5 with a 3.03 GAA and .907 SV% in 35 games with Texas (AHL) last season and 5-2-0 with a 1.73 GAA and .945 SV% while playing with Idaho of the ECHL. He will look to secure the Stars back-up role for 2015-16.

Lindy Ruff wouldn't say, but the guess is Jack Campbell vs Ducks.

It would be Campbell's first career start if he does indeed play over Dan Ellis. He was 19-13-3 with a 2.65 GAA and .905 SV% in the AHL last season. If he starts he has a tough matchup against a Ducks team who have won six in a row.
