Drysdale missed 74 games in 2022-23 after suffering a torn labrum in his left shoulder but has signed a three-year deal worth $6.9 million ($2.3M AAV) with Anaheim. The 21-year-old was limited to only eight games last season and failed to pick up a point while posting a -3 plus/minus with two PIMs. He was Anaheim's 2020 first-round pick (6th overall) and has seven goals, 40 points, 24 PIMs and a -41 plus/minus through 113 games played across three NHL seasons.

The Anaheim Ducks announced Monday that defenseman Jamie Drysdale will be out for approximately 4-6 months with a torn labrum after suffering the injury during last Friday's game vs. Vegas. It is a tough likely end to the season for the Ducks' 2020 1st round pick (6th overall) who had yet to acquire a point through eight games in his third NHL season.

Drysdale was unavailable for Monday's game in St. Louis but will play tonight in the rematch. Drysdale has scored three goals with four assists in his first 21 NHL games.

Drysdale was the No.6 overall pick in the 2020 NHL Draft and has had an immediate impact at the AHL level. The 18-year-old defenseman has 10 points (4G / 6A) in his first 14 games with San Diego (AHL) and will make his debut tonight vs. the Coyotes.
