St. Louis Blues goaltender Jaroslav Halak left Monday's game against the Minnesota Wild late in the first period with a lower-body injury.

Blues coach Ken Hitchcock said following the game -- a 4-1 Blues victory -- that Halak will likely miss some time because of the ailment. Hitchcock noted that goaltender Jake Allen, just returned to Peoria of the American Hockey League Saturday, will likely need to return to St. Louis to back up Elliott, who made 19 saves in the win Monday. Halak missed several starts in early February with a sore groin, but it's unclear if Monday's injury is related.

Halak vs. ANA.

Halak will start the second game of a Saturday-Sunday back-to-back for the Blues when they take on the Ducks. Last year Halak and Elliott that dominated the NHL this year it is a different story. Halak will start tonight for the Blues.

Halak has won two of his four starts with a 1.76 GAA and .913 SV% since returning from injury. He will be between the pipes tonight against a good Kings. The Blues are banged up right now and they aren't the same team they were at the start of the season. Halak is still a good fantasy play regardless of matchup.

Halak will start tomorrow vs. Chicago.

Halak has allowed one goal on 20 shots in each of his last two games since coming back from injury. One of those games resulted in a win and the other a loss when the Blues were shutout by Colorado. Halak has a tough matchup tomorrow vs. a Blackhawks team that still hasn't lost in regulation, but it has to come to an end sometime... Maybe it'll be Halak who will get the job done.

Halak will return to the net tonight for the Blues.

Halak missed the Blues last 8 games with a groin injury, but will be back between the pipes tonight for St. Louis. Halak is 3-0-0 with a 2.10 GAA and .889 SV% this season. He has a great matchup tonight vs. a banged up Avalanche team.

Hitch said they'll take Halak day to day. Its all up to how he feels. #stlblues

Halak was scheduled to start yesterday for the Blues but didn't end up starting because he re-aggravated his groin injury in warmups. Jake Allen was recalled so Halak will likely be placed back on IR and should be considered day-to-day for the time being.
