After the Canadiens acquired Sergei Gonchar from the Stars on Tuesday, one of their young defensemen needed to be sent down. They have elected to go with Nathan Beaulieu over Tinordi for now. Tinordi was a healthy scratch in four of the last five games and had just two assists with a minus-5 rating in nine games.
Tinordi served as a healthy scratch on Monday vs. the Oilers but he will get back into the lineup tonight, presumably for Nathan Beaulieu, who replaced him last night.
Tinordi, who is known more for his physical play on the blueline, has no points in six games with Montreal this season. While with Hamilton he has compiled nine points (3G / 6A) and 70 PIMs in 47 games.

Tinordi might not play on October 2nd, but he has cracked the 23-man roster. When Davis Drewiske went down with an injury the door opened for the 6-foot-6, 21 year old. Tinordi had two assists and was a plus-5 in eight games with the Habs last season.

Tinordi is a big, strong defenceman. At 6'6" he over-powers his opponents in the defensive zone. He is a rock on the blueline, but he is not a threat to score, which makes him irrelevant in fantasy.
